At Sky IT Group, we are seeing some dramatic changes in the Business Analysis profession and we wanted to share some of these changes with you. For starters the creation of the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA – www.theiiba.org) has emerged and is leading the charge to compile the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BA BOK). This Body of Knowledge will enable the Business Analysis profession to achieve common and consistent practices while increasing the overall credibility of the profession.
We are also seeing the introduction of new and exciting tools focused on Requirements Definition. These new tools drive improved quality and completeness into our requirements by simplifying and automating things like use case modeling, workflow generation, multi-aspect visualization, test generation and documentation, as well as providing downstream integrations with Requirements Management, Test Management, and Modeling tools. Last, but not least, our existing Requirements Management tools are maturing and providing richer integrations with Testing, Modeling, and even IDE tools.
Although all of these developments are pushing the profession of Business Analysis forward it’s more critical now than ever before to ensure your organization is effectively utilizing all that’s available to them in order to drive Requirements Lifecycle Acceleration (RLA). We’re turning the corner from merely Requirements Development and Management into a fully integrated Requirements Lifecycle that enables true acceleration in both quality and productivity. To that end SkyIT Group has developed service offerings and end to end partnerships to bring RLA to life in each organization.
